Liezl Kok: Chief Executive Officer

Liezl has been working in the Section 21 Sector for more than fourteen years, serving communities and business as a grassroots trainer, project developer, mentor and fundraiser.

After Matric, she enrolled for the Visual Arts Course at the then Witwatersrand Technicon. Whilst studying she started to do freelance work in the corporate sector which resulted in her winning graphic design awards. She became a Creative Director in the corporate world and acquired skills she now shares with with her tainees.

Over years Liezl established a reputation for being a “training guru” with a high success rate in this sector, which also won her media acclaim.

She is motivated to tangibly bring change to our workforce: “Through trial and error I’ve developed a training program within the community for the community.”

“My biggest achievements have been to develop successful social entrepreneurs within the community. I live to create those “I can” moments for participants,which are essential for them to become enabled to realise their potential”.
